    General description: fast-growing, frost-resistant cultivar with a broad habitat. It grows to about 90-120 cm high.

    Flowering: blooms in April,

    Flowers: buds of average size, slightly protruding from the shoots.

    Fruit: the fruits are large, oval and have a yellow-green colour. The variety yields very abundantly. Gooseberry  bears fruit from mid-July.

    Requirements / Cultivation:   a sunny position, cultivation is also possible in the shade. The best soils are fertile, rich in humus. Frost-resistant variety.

  • Kiwi Berry ’Ananasnaja female’

    Actinidia arguta ’Ananasnaja’

    Most often cultivated in the United States, fast growing, drought resistant.

    One of the most prolific varieties. Ananasnaja is a perennial, twisting, strong (reaching up to several meters), ornamental vine that also fruits, it can withstand temepratures of even -30°C, does not require protection, it is frostproof throughout Poland.

    Its maximum height is 8-10 m, and an annual increase amounts to 2-3 m. Its stems climb, so it needs support. In May/June the creeper is decorated with tiny two-inch, white, decorative flowers 
    fruit: exceptionally tasty and healthy, the plant bears fruit 3-4 years after planting, about a dozen kilograms of fruit from one bush, also for preserves, high content of vitamins C, E, B maturation: mid September
    cultivation: position in the sun, planted in an espalier or by a wall every 1 m, between the female plants of this variety, for example: plant a male variety every 5 plants, cutting is not necessary.

  • Bez czarny ’Haschberg’

    Black Elderberry ’Haschberg’ (Sambucus nigra ’Haschberg’)

    General description: in Poland it is very common, many varieties differ mainly in color and shape, also known as wild lilac, long-lasting fruiting shrub growing up to 10 m high, perfect for wine and preserves, it was used and is still in the field of healing.

    Flowering: in May / June,

    Fruits: abundantly (up to 20 kg from the bush), harvest in August / September, its fruits contain a lot of vitamin C.

    Requirements / Cultivation:  sunny stand, frost-resistant plant, can be cut.

  • Northern blueberry ’Bluecrop’

    Northern blueberry ’Bluecrop’ (Vaccinium corymbosum ’Bluecrop’)

     

    Northern blueberry also called a highbush is a bush with very tasty and healthy fruits.

    Fruits are characterized by a high content of antioxidants, which have anti-cancer effect. Often used in food processing.

    Fruits can be eaten straight from the bush when they reach a navy blue color.

    Bluecrop is the most popular and best known variety.

    It has a very large, aromatic and sweet fruits, fruits after 10th of August. From one bush it is possible to collect up to 9 kg of fruits.
    It grows quickly, it is well suited for mechanical and manual harvesting  - for amateurs and for food processing.

    It blooms in May.

    Bush should grow in acidic humus soil, on a sunny and humid place.

    The bush is very frost-resistant, withstands temperature to -34 C degrees . It grows up to 2-3 m height.

    Very easy to grow. Blueberries should be  planted 1.5-2.5 m from each other.

  • Schizandra chinensis

    The greatest novelty among all our climbing plants! Fruit of 5 flavors with a sweet peel, sour pulp, bitter and sour seeds, salty seed powder. Fruit mostly used for juice or dried. Specification: a creeper twisting around supports.

    It grows up to 3-4 m, 1.5 m per year. The plant tends to be dioecious – in order to have fruit at least two should be planted. It produces edible fruit similar to currants, rich in vitamin C of a very pelasant citrus scent. Fruit ripens in September. The creeper blooms in May and June. There are no specific requirements for soil and position. Frostproof. Supports: trellises, trusses, pergolas, arbors, walls of houses, pillars, columns, fences, gates, screens, walls of houses.

    This plant can also be used to create hedges.

    Cornelian is a plant whose medicinal properties are recognized for centuries. It is applicable in medicine among others for gastrointestinal disorders  and a decoction of Cornelian helps curing migraines.

    Kamchatka Berry ’Wołoszebnica’ (Lonicera kamtchatica ’Woloszebnica’)

    A Kamchatka berry with tasty fruit, much larger than the standard forest berries, frostproof.

    A fantastic plant that gives you your own blueberries in the garden. A Kamchatka berry is a long-lived shrub growing up to 1.5 m, fruiting for up to 30 years! The first fruit in the garden ripens in early June in the first year after planting.

    It comes from Siberia - fully frostproof. Juicy, tasty, sweet and sour fruit that has many recognized medicinal properties. In order to improve the yield, at least two different varieties should be planted next to each other that would pollinate each other. Between 2 and 5 kilograms of fruit can be harvested from the bush. It fruits in the first year after planting!

    It does not require acidic soil – can be planted in ordinary garden soil in a sunny / partially shaded spot, every 1-1.5 meter.

  • Bearberry ’Pilgrim’

    Bearberry ’Pilgrim’ (Vaccinium macrocarpon ’Pilgrim’)

    Creeping plant from  Ericaceae family.
    Bears fruit abundantly on fructiferous shoots. Fruits are large, red, medicinal and delicious.

    Requirements: acidic , preferably moist soil, shady or sunny place. It is important to check whether ground is dry because the plant likes wet places.

     

    Plant bear fruits after 3-4 years.

    Easy to grow, resistant to frost and diseases

    It should be planted every 30 cm because of easily rooting.

    Recommended for rock gardens, ponds, under calcifuge plants.

    Blooms in July and fruits ripen in October.
    Cranberries have a lot of healthy and dietary values.

    Fruit can be used to make juices, liqueurs, cocktails,

    Jams or jellies, can also be used as a dried spice in the kitchen.

    Fruits treat Tonsillitis, colds and flu - they strengthen the immune system, prevent  inflammation of the urinary tract, provide antioxidants and help with facilitate digestion.

  • Ginseng proper

    General description: medicinal plant of eastern folk medicine, valued for its root properties, perennial growing up to 0.5 m, shrub resistant to frost.

    Leaves: reach 10 cm, later a five-ended leaf  is formed,

    Fruit: small, oval, red drupe (stone fruit), containing two fused seeds which have a diameter of 4-6 mm.

    Requirements / Cultivation:  this plant is difficult due to its requirements; position in shade or partial shade; humus-rich soil; does not like excessive moisture in winter.

    A frost-resistant shrub that is worth considering. 
    It fruits profusely, its fruit is tasty, healthy, juicy and large. 
    It fruits from August until October. 
    The shrub is resistant to frost and diseases. 
    It reaches the height of 3-5 m, spreads quickly. 
    It is a thornless variety which makes it that more attractive. 
    The fruit can be eaten straight away or preserved.

    Should be planted every 1-1.5 metre in a sunny spot, with the use of supports.

  • Sweet chestnut

    Sweet chestnut (Castanea  sativa)

    A sweet chestnut tree reaches the height of up to 30 metres. 
    Frost-resistant down to -30.

    The fruit of sweet chestnut is called marron. 
    It reaches 3 cm in diameter and is enclosed in a spiky sheath. 
    The sheath may reach up to 10 cm in diameter! 
    The fruit of Castanea sativa ripens in October, as well as in November.

    It should be planted in sunny, quiet spots that are shielded from cold winds. 
    Sweet chestnut does not have any special requirements, and its cultivation is not very time-consuming.

  • Red Raspberry ‘Polana’

    The oldest Polish variety, very fruitful. Blossoms in May. 
    Its fruit is large, red and very sweet. 
    It can be eaten straight from the shrub or preserved as juices or jams. 

    This variety fruits on 2-year shoots at the end of June and the beginning of 
    July and on 1-year shoots in September. 
    The plant reaches the height of up to 1.5 metre. 

    Polana grows best in sunny and partially shaded spots.

  • White mulberry

    Fruiting and ornamental tree with an extensive crown or shrub. Perfect for a hedge. The plant blooms in May/April.

    Specification:

    Fruit is juicy, sweet and sour, like blackberries, excellent for jams, syrups and liqueurs. Position in the sun, sandy soil. Plant fairly resistant to frost and pests. Does not require cutting, moderate watering, if necessary, more abundant in warmer weather. Fruit contains a lot of vitamins C and A

  • Japanese silverberry

    This species is resistant to frost and drought.
    Requirements:
    It prefers well sunny places.
    Growing on light , sandy soils.

  • Hazelnut

    Hazel is a common large shrub, sometimes also a tree. It reaches the height of up to 5 metres.

    It grows best in rich, deep soil. Sunny to shady spots.

    Blossoms from February until April.

    Valued for its fruit (nuts) that is very tasty and contains vitamins, minerals, protein and approximately 60% of fat. 

  • Serviceberry

    Serviceberry  (Amelanchier lamarckii)

    A recommended fruit shrub that grows up to 3 m. Frostproof (down to -40°C), resistant to pests and diseases.

    Position in the sun / partial shade. Aromatic, tasty, sweet fruit ripening in July / August, taste similar to blueberries. It is suitable for liqueurs, juices, preserves and raw consumption. Bears fruit every year, begins fruiting 2-3 years after planting. Beautifully blooms in April.

    It is worth having in your garden because it is easy to grow and gives delicious blueberry fruitotherwise known as Canadian blueberries.

    Application: hedges, parks, gardens, plantations

  • Rose ’Rugosa’ wrinkled

    Rose ’Rugosa’ wrinkled (Rosa ’Rugosa’)

    General description: Shrub reaching up to 1.5 meters in height, very strongly branched. Twigs are  intensely covered with thorns. It presents itself gracefully among other park plants and in hobby gardens.

    Flowers: rose petals are also used as rose jam, traditionally used in donuts.

    Leaves:  leaves covered with hairs from the bottom, in autumn change from green to yellow.

    Flowering: The wrinkled rose blooms in April, and its inflorescence persists until August.

    Requirements / Cultivation:  sunny position, not very windy. It tolerates substrates with an acidic to slightly neutral pH. With alkaline base there is a risk of chlorosis - the leaves change color to yellow and this is the result of iron deficiency. Soil, before planting, should be enriched, for example, with manure or compost. After planting, the plant should be intensively watered.

  • Sea Buckthorn, ordinary

    General description: Ukrainian, self-pollinating, abundant fruiting cultivar with large fruits.

    Grows up to a height of about 10 m high, the annual increase is 1 m.

    Flowers: white, small flowers develop at the turn of the June-July.     
    Fruit:  fruits very abundantly 4-6 years after planting.      
    Maturing: in September you can collect up to 5 kg of fruit from one plant.

    Citrus fruits can be eaten raw or after processing, eg. in the form of dried fruit or juice. This magnolia vine (schisandra) is planted in well-lit and sheltered positions. Requires fertile, moist soil. Can not stand drought or drying of the ground.

    It is completely frost-resistant, it can withstand the temperature of -30 °C.

    Perfect for pergolas, walls of buildings.

  • Cornus alba ’Sibirica’

    Other common names: Siberian dogwood, tatarian dogwood.

    Is a rapid-growing deciduous shrub, especially decorative in winter, because of the bright red stems. Blooms with white flowers in May and in August produces white fruits.

    It reaches about 3 meters in high and 2 meters wide.

    Grows best in moist, rich soils and sunny position, also tolerates partial shade.

    Is hardy and disease resistant.

    Recommended for planting in parks, gardens, public green spaces. Great for line screens, hedges, shrub borders or site shrubs.

    Has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.

    Very nice is also expressed in a variety of compositions.

    Goji ’New Big’ (Lycium barbarum ’New Big’)

    Also known as Chinese Wolfberry, Vitamin Berry or Big Lifeberry. Is a native to southeastern Europe and Asia.

    This variety produces larger and tastier berries than plants raised by seed. The shrub reaches 2.5m height.

    In the spring, these plants develop purple and white flowers that are followed by red berries in late summer.

    The fructification starts 2-3 years after planting. The fruits should be then shaken off of the shrub.

    For maximum fruit potential, grow berries in full sun and moist, well-drained soils.

    Can be grown as part of a shrub collection, or due to its spreading nature, as part of a hedge or screen.
