    Japanese silverberry (Elaeagnus umbellata)


    Lanceolate, long, silvery-green leaves. 
    They persist until late autumn.
    Melliferous plant.   

    It blooms in May, it has a yellow, fragrant, tubular flowers.

    Tasty dessert fruit ripens in September but they gain best flavor only at the beginning of November.

    This species is resistant to frost and drought.
    It prefers well sunny places.
    Growing on light , sandy soils.
