Grape ’Nero’ (Vitis ’Nero’)
Is very vigorous and productive dessert variety grape. Produces medium-large oval berries of navy-red colour and strong skin.
Ripen in August and can be kept on the vine for about 3-4 more weeks before harvesting.
Can be eaten fresh and lately more often used in red wine production as of it’s rich colour.
Can be grown in a warm, poor, dry but well-drained soil, best in sun as shade makes them more sour, outdoors or under protection such as greenhouses, polytunnels or conservatories.
Pruning medium-short of unproductive canes allows the fruits to develop and to control the grow.
