Kiwi Berry ’Lucy’ female
Actinidia arguta ’Lucy’ Female
NEW IN POLAND!
A variety selected at the Warsaw Agricultural University by Dr. hab. Peter Latocha. It originates from a cross between A. arguta and A. purpurea. Medium-sized and large fruit, elongated and laterally flattened, weighing 7-14 g (depending on the amount of fruit on a bush). Green peel, pulp slightly red when fully mature (original feature). Tasty, sweet and sour fruit. Should be eaten when soft and chilled.
The plant grows best in a position sheltered from strong winds and sufficiently moist (but not wet). The spot should not be highly exposed to late spring frosts.
